Chelyabinsk Meteor A large meteor struck the motherland on the 15th of February and was travelling at the speed of over 42,000 miles per hour over the southern Ural region just north of Kazakhstan. The light at the time shine more intensely than the sun itself and some spectators felt the heat . The intense noise and impact from the meteor reaching the atmosphere caused windows to break and eardrums to be shattered. Luckily this missile from outer space didn’t make contact with the surface of the earth or the consequences could have been catastrophic. 7. The Russian Bigfoot Also known as the Yeti or Almustay, this creature was captured and had DNA samples taken and was finally analysed as a sub-saharan African women but resembled nothing like a modern day human. The story is still extraordinary. This extremely tall creature was taken from her home in the remote areas of Caucasus Mountains. She was believed to be the last living Neanderthal. Is it possible cavemen still walked this planet? Scientists still believe it’s possible in isolated areas that receive little to no human contact. 6. The Mysterious Dolmens Megalithic structures from thousands of years ago still stand today in Russia’s Western Caucasus, the same area where the Russian Bigfoot was found. While dolmens can be found in various parts of Europe, the ones found in Russia present a unique type of architecture that presented perfect circles through the stone blocks without the invention of the wheel yet. The normal weight for each structure can range from 15-30 tons meaning, it wasn’t easy transporting these stones. Modern technology would still not be able to transport such a massive weight and reconstruct these artifacts. Locals tell stories of giants who built these as burial places but no proof has been presented to back up these claims. 5. Kapustin Yar Near the city of Volgograd, Russia lies a rocket launch and weapons development site that was established in the Soviet Union Era in 1946. Discovery of this site would be next to impossible unless you worked for the KGB. Soviets who captured German missiles during World War II began testing the new technology at this site. It’s also believed that this was the launching point for the Sputnik satellite. But with satellites from the Americans as well, we were able to eventually be aware of its existence. This is basically Russia’s Area 51 and even looks a little like Nevada in this photo. 4. Pyramiden This is a Russian coal mining settlement, originally built by Sweden then sold to the Soviet Union in 1927. Like many American ghost towns, once the last of the resource was extracted, people abandoned the settlement. The frigid climate and its remote location keeps most tourists away but it’s still accessible by snowmobile after taking a boat from the island. The climate has also preserved this city like the harsh climate of Russia has preserved the reminence of humans. This is one of the coldest and most northern settlements of humans and there’s no wonder people don’t want to continue living here. 3. Puzzling Alien Skull A demonic looking skull was found in a Nazi bunker in Russia near a Nazi briefcase. The strange appearance of the skull leads many to wonder the possibility of Nazis who had once made contact with UFO’s. Some conspiracies believe it was a skull of a dead demon. Either way there is no possible way of knowing exactly. Skeptics believe the long exposure to sand and other elements of the bunker could have altered the shape. What do you think? 2. Vottovaara Mountain In this forest, many have discovered strange broken boulders around the landscape. This forest is considered to be sacred to the people of the Saami tribe. Is it possible spirits actually live in the boulders like these people claim? Many seem to be precisely cut as if a scalpel is able to cut through stone. Many are in shock and awe after witnessing for themselves the mysteries of nature. 1. Radioactive Valley of Death UFO’s Russian men searching for gold in Siberia came made a discovery that they will never forget. In Siberia’s Death Valley, radioactive metal dome cauldrons were discovered that were believed to have been caused by a UFO crash landing. This startling claim is actually backed up by science. 5 metallic cauldrons were discovered and buried under marsh like swamps. 2 of the team members got ill and the symptoms were similar to radiation poisoning. According to local legends, these are the remains of a battle between UFO’s. In this massive, unique country, nothing would surprise me
